DU course profile: BA programme is a good bet to help prepare for IAS exams
Contemporary age is marked by multidisciplinarily for gaining knowledge in the universities across the globe. The skill based courses are aimed at gaining technical skills which helps in gaining employment in the concerned field, such as stock exchange, non-governmental organizations and so on and partly helps in understanding and making the core courses more relevant.
Given the IAS exam course structure, BA Program is the best suited course to take the exam after graduation. The program actually prepares one to become a generalist that the civil services exam requires. The other interesting fields such as Journalism and mass- communication, Law, management, NGOs, Education, film making etc are open for further explorations. It may also happen that the students get empowered enough with the skills needed to begin with their own start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures.
